Defending champions Comilla Victorians will tussle against Rangpur Riders on the opening day.

The ninth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is set to begin on January 6 with the Chattogram Challengers taking on the Sylhet Strikers at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. The defending champions, Comilla Victorians, will also play on the opening day, facing off against the Rangpur Riders.

This year’s tournament features seven teams, each of which will play 12 matches during the league stage of the competition. The top four teams after the league phase will advance to the playoffs, with the final set to take place on February 16 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. A total of 46 matches will be played during the tournament.

While the BPL will not be broadcasted in India, fans can watch the action on FanCode, which will be live streaming the tournament in India.
